Wilfred Owen festival

As part of Oswestry’s centenary commemoration and Wilfred Owen Season the Orthopaedic Male Voice Choir will perform a Remembrance Concert at the town's Hope Church in Laburnum Drive, in October 26 at 7:30pm

The concert will include various musical pieces and readings from some of Wilfred Owen’s poems. Tickets will be available on the door and cost £5 to include light refreshments.

The festival, officially launched this weekend, includes an artists' trail across the area showcasing the work of artists on the theme, War and Conflict, Poetry and Peace.

There will be lunchtime and evening lectures, film showings and exhibitions throughout November, with a special, On the Front Line re-enactment day on November 3.

Local theatre groups will produce world war one plays, whole musical groups will join music and poetry together.
