He will appear at Theatre Severn's Walker Theatre on May 22, and tickets are currently on sale.

He will also tell stories of his own sporting career, from captaining his national team to victory in the Ashes, to memories such as flying a Tiger Moth over Queensland.

His career has stretched beyond cricket, and he is now a main broadcaster for Sky Sports Cricket's international coverage.

He spent five years as a commentator for BBC, also presenting Gower’s Cricket Monthly and David Gower’s Cricket Weekly on BBC 5Live.

During this time Gower was also team captain opposite Gary Lineker on BBC TV’s hit show They Think It’s All Over.

After two years as the Sunday Express cricket correspondent, and two more as a columnist for the Sunday Telegraph he then wrote a column for the Sunday Times for ten years.
