Tadlop - Telford and District Light Operatic Players - will be putting on the five performances of the Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse musical – including one special showing for secondary school pupils.

The show, which takes place at Telford Theatre in Oakengates, opens at 7.30pm on Thursday, and continues at 7.30pm on Friday, with further showings at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.

The group will also be putting on a special matinee for secondary school pupils at 2.30pm on Friday – with The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde currently a GCSE English Literature syllabus text.

The show's director Sammi McSporran said they were thrilled to be providing a new opportunity for local schools.

She said: "I believe this is the first time Tadlop has offered a schools-only performance of one of our shows, and we have been thrilled with the response from local schools.

"We are so excited to offer this extra show exclusively for students as a link to the GCSE English Literature curriculum where Jekyll & Hyde is a studied text.
