The programmed will see the company work with female choreographers on a triple bill of shows from June 12 to 15.

The season starts with the world premiere of Didy Veldman’s Sense of Time - the third commission in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Ballet Now initiative.

Sense of Time is created for 12 dancers and it explores ideas of time and space, reflecting on the influences affecting the free flow of contemporary life.

[Un]leashed also features the premiere performances of Ruth Brill’s re-imagining of the classic fable Peter and the Wolf, featuring the voice of acclaimed poet, Hollie McNish.

The show will come to Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre from May 24 to 25, before heading to Birmingham Hippodrome as part of [Un]leashed.

To complete the programme is Jessica Lang’s Lyric Pieces. Created for the Company as part of the 2012 International Dance Festival in Birmingham, Lyric Pieces is choreographed for 8 dancers and set to Edvard Grieg’s music of the same name.

All performances feature live music from the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.
