Cannabis seized in Telford drugs raid
A man was arrested after Telford police seized cannabis in a drugs raid today.
Officers from Brookside and Madeley carried out a drugs warrant in Donnington this morning.
It came as part of a series of similar raids across the division to tackle drug crime.
Officers executed a drugs warrant at a house in Queens Road at 8.20am, where 24 semi-mature cannabis plants and associated growing equipment was were seized from two bedrooms.
PC Dan Harris, of Madeley Police Station, said: "A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with the raid this morning.
"It is part of a series of drugs raids across the division. A number of other raids have also taken place today to tackle drug crime.
"Drugs in this area is an on-going problem, but no worse than anywhere else.
