Gang breaks into Telford house and attacks two men

Two men needed hospital treatment after being attacked in the early hours by a gang who broke into a house in Telford.

The attack happened at a house in King Street, Dawley, and left one man with multiple head and torso injuries and the other with hand and face wounds. The pair had earlier got into an argument with a group of men in a car park at the back of the nearby Crown Inn.

Police have appealed for information on the attack in the house, which happened between 2.20am and 2.40am on New Year's Day.

A 43-year-old man from Telford has already been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and wounding with intent, and is currently on bail until January 29. Police are looking for three white men in their 30s in connection with the attack.

Two of the men were thought to be of a stocky build and either bald or with short shaved hair.

One of the men was thought to be wearing a black top and jeans, and the other had a white top and jeans. The third offender was described as being slimmer and was believed to be dressed in blue and wearing a fur hat.

An assault also took place inside the pub earlier and police believe one of the offenders could have been involved in both incidents. Call police on 101 quoting incident 213S of January 1.
