Over-running roadworks cause long delays on A5 and A483
Motorists faced major tailbacks on the A5/A483 this morning due to over-running repair works taking place.
Traffic lights have been put in place near to Gobowen due to over-running resurfacing works following machinery problems.
The work is between the Hengoed turn, south of the main Gobowen turn, and the B5070 Gledrid Roundabout.
Traffic was building this morning and was queuing for miles, with congestion backing up to half way along the Chirk bypass.
The works were scheduled to take place overnight but due to problems they have over-run.
