Last night, police dealt with a fallen tree on the B4555 near Bridgnorth.

People were warned to pay attention when travelling in the area.

Firefighters were also called out to a report of a vehicle abandoned in flood water at Wigwig Ford, near Much Wenlock, just before 10.50pm yesterday.

Police confirmed the owner of the vehicle was safe at home.

The Met Office has issued two yellow warnings for high winds covering Northern Ireland, Wales, most of England and the west coast of Scotland.

Gusts of up to 75mph were recorded in Scotland last night, while winds of over 60mph were seen widely across western parts of the UK in the early hours of today.

Transport For Wales Rail said that the weather would mean fewer trains able to run on the line and services between Chester and Holyhead may be cancelled or delayed.
