Elderly man hit by car crossing the road in Leominster

A man in his 90s is in hospital after being hit by a car while crossing a road in Leominster.

A black Volkswagen hit the man as he crossed Ridgemoor Road on Monday evening at around 6pm.

The man was taken to Hereford hospital and suffered a broken femur and cuts to his head; he currently remains in a stable condition.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 595s of December 4, 2017.
