Richard Dimmock, 36, of Waltondale, Woodside, was found guilty of two counts of rape of a child and and seven counts of indecent assault between 1996 and 1999.
Dimmock had denied all the charges, but the jury returned a unanimous verdict on the historic offences at Shrewsbury Crown Court today. He will be sentenced in April.
Judge Anthony Lowe told him: “The sentence will inevitably be I’m afraid, a lengthy custodial one. In view of that you must remain in custody until you are sentenced.”
