Jurain Elliot, 36, admitted the offence which relates to an incident at Stirchley Petrol Station on November 11, 2018.

He was jailed following a hearing at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday.

However, he was found not guilty of offences of robbery and theft relating to cigarettes after the court heard that Elliot had paid for the items.

The court also heard that Elliot, of Burford, in Brookside, was likely to be released from prison within days due to the time he had already spent on remand since being arrested.
