The competition, celebrating 50 years of The Factory Shop, saw children creating a poster about what their community meant to them.

Grace Beff, who attends Woore Primary and Nursery School, near Market Drayton, won the competition and received a gift voucher for the shop.

Michelle Roberts, headteacher at the school, said: "Grace is always inspired and dedicated with her art work and also within the community, so it's really pleasing for her to win.

"It’s nice for the school to be involved in community competitions, we are over the moon for Grace and of course she's very pleased."

Grace's poster will now been placed in the Factory Shop window and she will progress through to the national stage of the competition where she could win £1,000 for the school.

Ms Roberts said: "We would talk to the children and ask them what they think the money should be spent on to benefit the school."

Grace will now compete against schools across the country, with the winner being judged by Emma Fox, CEO of The Factory Shop.
