Maggie Mays dance school, which runs classes in Market Drayton and Adderley, now has a base in Pepper Street.

To celebrate the launch the studio held an open day where youngsters could take part in a Greatest Showman themed musical theatre workshop.

The school is seven years old and is run by Crissy Wylie.

She says it has grown in a big way since its first class.

The BBO and IDTA accredited dance school now has 100 children on its roll, aged 18 months to 18 years, enjoying daily classes in street, ballet, tap, cheer and contemporary. Competition team classes run on a Saturday and students have successfully competed around the country winning medals and trophies for their dance school.

Crissy said: “Having our own dedicated studios is like a dream come true.

“We now have so much more space and the freedom to use it how we need.

“A lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone in to getting the two floors dance-ready and there is more we still want to do. For now though, we just can’t wait to get dancing.

“On behalf of everyone at Maggie Mays I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the creation of our new studio, including Abbey Removals, Discount Carpets and Beds and CL refurbishments.

“Not forgetting our devoted mums and dads for their time and support.”

Classes have now begun in the new Whitchurch studio.
