The Three Parishes Big Local Trust was given the money seven years ago as part of a national project from the National Lottery, targeting areas across the UK that would benefit from community initiatives.

Since then those investing the funding have set up a range of projects from helping local businesses to running a saving scheme for children.

The trust is holding its annual open event on October 24 at 7.30pm at Preeshenlle Church in Gobowen.

Chairman, Nick Heard, said: "People can come along and find out how we have been investing our community's £1 million. You can ask questions and share your idea."

He said that the Three Parishes' future plans would also outlined.
