The hearing, into the death of Steven Norcross, was being held at Shirehall, Shrewsbury, from 10am.

Mr Norcross, 54, died after being hit by a car when he was walking at a junction at the A5 near Gobowen at around 10.35pm, on October 13.

He died at Wrexham's Maelor Hospital later that evening.

Following his death, tributes were paid to Mr Norcross, who was a regular at the home of the Welsh league champions TNS.

Speaking at the time, the club's owner and chairman, Mike Harris, said: “The sad news of the loss of Steve has come as a huge shock to me and the club.

“He was such a great fellow, one of the lads, but always kind and considerate to all. In this we have lost a very dear person, whom I am proud to have called a friend.

“Our feelings and deepest sympathy go out to all his family and friends, who I know will miss him dearly.”
