An ideas race has been launched by Shropshire councillors, Robert Macey and Mark Jones, which gives residents the chance to do an online survey and submit ideas of things they would like to see in and around the area.

The survey is open to people living not only in the two villages but the areas of Hengoed, Pant Glas, Rhosygadfa and beyond.

Councillor Macey said the survey covered facilities, local buildings and community spaces.

"We are delighted that we have had lots of ideas submitted already and those ideas have informed this survey," he said.

The survey looks at activities from walking groups to film clubs, board games to sports clubs.

It also suggests one off events that the community could be involved in.

The survey also asks what new new facilities they would like to see and which they would like to be enhanced.

There is also a section on the Gobowen Community Hub that is based in the village's library building.

People can access the survey at www.ideasrace.org or by completing a paper form from the community hub.

They have until the end of March to complete the survey.
