Man killed as car hits brick wall near Shrewsbury Rugby Club

A man was killed when his car left the road on the outskirts of Shrewsbury and hit a brick wall.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or information following the fatal crash, which happened in the early hours of this morning on the B5062 at Sundorne Castle near Shrewsbury Rugby Club.

The red Suzuki Swift car is believed to have been travelling in the direction of Shrewsbury when it came off the road and hit a brick wall.

The driver, a man aged 42, was confirmed dead at the scene shortly after 2am. His family have been informed and the coroner will be notified.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 9S of January 7.
