Man was found with shotgun wounds
A man who threatened to kill himself was found dead at his home in Clun.
Paul Christopher Saunders, 55, died in the house in Newport Street on September 9 last year, an inquest heard yesterday.
Police had received a call from Mr Saunders' wife, Pamela, who was concerned for his safety.
Coroner for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Mr John Ellery, heard that the couple were separated.
Police officers went to the house at about 12.30pm on September 9, broke into the property and found the body of Mr Saunders in a bedroom.
A post mortem found that he died from gunshot wounds to his head.
Mr Ellery recorded a conclusion of suicide.
