Elaine Brown, 69, from Liverpool, died at Royal Liverpool University Hospital on August 26, 2017, after staying at the hotel with her husband.

A pre-inquest review at Telford & Wrekin Registrar Office confirmed the three-day inquest will take place in front of a jury at Shirehall in Shrewsbury.

The pre-inquest review was attended by a number of parties including representatives of Shropshire Council, the hotel, and a heating company.

Speaking after Mrs Brown's death, her son Neil Edwards paid tribute saying: "She adored history, and the greatest of many gifts she gave to me was a love of books, particularly non-fiction.

“My last Christmas present to her was a signed copy of Simon Sebag Montefiore’s ‘The Romanovs’ which she was just close to finishing when she died.

“It pains me that she didn’t finish it as I’d listened to, and loved, the audiobook, and couldn’t wait to get her take on it.”

The inquest is set to take place on February 27 and 28, and March 1.
