Craig Anthony Anderson, 33, died at the scene of the crash on the A518 near Newport on December 23. An inquest was due to take place this Wednesday.

Members of Mr Anderson's family attended the registrar's office in Wellington, as well as the LGV's driver Leigh Sargeant.

Shropshire's senior coroner, John Ellery, heard evidence from Mr Anderson's partner Hannah Keay, who did not attend but submitted a statement.

It said that she received a text from Mr Anderson early on the morning of his death "saying something like 'this will be the last time you hear from me'."

Mr Anderson's family said at the hearing that they believe his death was not intentional and he hit Mr Sargeant's vehicle accidentally.

Mr Ellery said he would adjourn the inquest to a date yet to be decided, to arrange for dash cam footage to be shown, a collision investigator to attend and for further correspondence with Miss Keay.

The inquest will take place at the Shirehall in Shrewsbury.
