Bernie Richards, 72, got home after a meal in Coalport and a carol service on the Iron Bridge to find his golden wedding ring gone.

Bernie, his wife Margaret and son Andy have all been scouring the Ironbridge Gorge, the Woodbridge Inn in Coalport and the Huntsman Inn in Little Wenlock after losing the ring on Christmas Eve.

Andy said: "They both came back to ours at about 10.30pm, after we had been out seeing the carol singers on the bridge.

"Then he realised he was missing it, and we tried to re-trace our steps.

"We were looking through some photos from the night and realised he was wearing it in some of them.

"There was no real reason for him to take it off so it is strange.

"We checked if it had fallen into a collection plate but they didn't have it."

Andy said the party had been at the Woodbridge at about 5pm, the carol service at 7.30pm and the Huntsman shortly after, before retiring to his home in Dawley, Telford

Anyone with information, or knows the whereabouts of the ring, is asked to ring Andy on 07724 645775.
