The textile artists' group UN:Bound will host the event next month near Newport when artwork from paper mache to patchwork quilting will be on display.

Other exhibits during the three-day show will include mixed media, embroidery and 3D exhibits including cushions.

There will also be demonstration sessions at the event at St Luke's Church, in Sambrook from May 17 to 19.

The group has held monthly meetings in the village hall in Sambrook for nearly five years and the exhibition will showcase their newly created work following a successful exhibition two years ago

UN:Bound spokesperson Ruth Duffy said: "Meetings consist of inspiring each other, critiquing work, sewing and of course sampling cake which will be available during the exhibition with tea and coffee in the adjoining village hall along with a retail opportunity at the sales table and a chance to watch demonstrations.

"During the three days visitors from far and near will be welcome to view our work, chat to members and watch demonstrations. Access and facilities for disabled are available."

Since the 2017 event the members have attended workshops led by Emily Notman and by Jenny O'Leary. They have also visited the Tate Modern art gallery, in Liverpool, to view the John Piper exhibition. Completed pieces from these workshops will be included at the new exhibition alongside work on the theme 'unbound' in addition to a display of the group's "Travelling Books" project which have now been completed.

The Unbound Unleashed show will be from 10am to 4pm. Admission is £2 and proceeds will go to the church.
