Simon Rich died when his white Honda motorcycle was involved in a collision with a DAF tipper lorry on the A464 between Albrighton and Shifnal on July 24.

The crash happened near Cosford Grange Lodge near Cosford at about 10.53am.

The hearing was told that Mr Rich, aged 53, of Cornwallis Drive, Shifnal, was estranged from his wife.

Following the collision the emergency services closed roads in the area, including Bowling Green Lane and Kennel Lane, along with the junction for Ryton and Beckbury for investigations and remained at the scene well into the afternoon.

Shropshire Coroner Mr John Ellery adjourned the matter until December.

At the time crash investigators launched an appeal for witnesses who saw the collision of the manner in which the vehicles were being driven before the collision to come forward.
