The Wrekin Housing Trust has recently taken over the ownership and management of almost 120 extra Telford homes.

A subsidiary has purchased The Hedgerows development in Donnington.

It consists of 117 homes for rent from Waterloo Homes, who were previously managing the homes.

However the trust had been providing the repairs and maintenance service at The Hedgerows for two years before the transfer.

The site consists of two and three bedroom houses and one and two bedroom flats.

Tenants started to move to The Hedgerows in 1999, where the homes were built to provide affordable rented accommodation for local workers.

The development project was supported by local employers such as Ricoh, NEC, Epson and Denso and was built within easy reach of both Hortonwood and Priorslee.

The Hedgerows residents were all visited by a trust employee to explain how the handover would work and to minimise disruption, following the homes being purchased by The Wrekin Housing Trust (Subsidiary) Ltd.

A spokesperson said the properties will remain at market rents.

Call the trust on (01952) 217130 for more.
