Man cut free as A41 crash sees two taken to hospital

A motorist suffered a head injury after two cars crashed near Market Drayton today.

The crash happened near the Castle Inn, off the the A41 at Bletchley, Tern Hill, shortly before 3.30pm.

The emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene and firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to help the injured man from the the car.

He and another patient were taken by land ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

The fire service rescue tender from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington and an operations officer attended.
