Man injured in ‘targeted attack’ in Glasgow city centre

The 42-year-old was left with a facial injury following the incident on Saturday morning.

A man suffered a face injury in a “targeted attack” in Glasgow, police have said.

The 42-year-old was seriously assaulted at around 11.10am on Saturday at the corner of Gordon Street and Mitchell Street in the city centre.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The injured man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a facial injury.

“Detectives are treating this as a targeted attack and their investigation is continuing to trace the person responsible.”
