Letter: Councillors have a last chance to listen

As one of the 'peanuts' who voted to leave the EU, I can see the same thing happening in next year's council election.

Like the people not listened to by Cameron & Co, then voting all the present councillors out, for the way they treat Shropshire folk; cutting services to the most needy, shutting museums and libraries, etc, and selling off land that could be used for mobile homes, to solve the housing crisis.

Of course they won't listen, and then wonder why they haven't got a seat, but like the Westminster elite, we have been treated as poor fools by our 'betters', whose arrogance knows no bounds.

It's still not too late to reverse the disastrous policies being proposed.

So, use resources like spare land, to provide cheap housing sites for mobile homes, £6,000 buys a new log cabin, (but without a site it's worthless).

And forget about entering the wood fuel trade, because the EU biomas subsidies will end with Brexit, leaving the council with another P&E type disaster, and felled woodlands rotting, without buyers, no more £200 per tonne to burn your own firewood for 20 years!

Half the firewood dealers have gone out of business already, due to over-supply and cheap oil.

Wake up to reality councillors – it's your last chance.
