Ceiriog Valley are crowned as champions

Ceiriog Valley A were officially crowned Oswestry champions again at the league’s presentation evening.

They held on to the Division One trophy for a third year at the function on Friday night at Bersham Social Club near Wrexham.

But it was Dave Bond of runners-up Llangollen A who took the averages prize ahead of a trio of Ceiriog bowlers – Andrew Pearce, Megis Phillips and Endaf Owens.

It was a good night for Chirk AAA as the B team received the Division Three winners trophy and a quartet from the club were presented with the floodlight consolation KO prize.

Other Oswestry League divisional champions were Llanrhaeadr A in Divison Two, Prentre Broughton (Four), Ponciau Park A (Five) and Ruabon C (Six).
