AFC Telford skipper Shane Sutton full of confidence

Skipper Shane Sutton insists AFC Telford United are full of confidence going into Saturday's FA Trophy semi-final second leg.

They are welcoming Leyton Orient to what should be a packed-out New Bucks Head, after losing 1-0 to the O's at Brisbane Road last weekend.

And Sutton said: "It's the second half back at the New Bucks Head, and I'm sure they won't be looking forward to it.

"We're very confident. It's only half-time, 1-0 down, and the good thing about it now is that we know exactly what we're up against.

"It's a game we're all looking forward to.

"Look at our home form, I don't think it's been and easy place to come to this year.

"As long as we can have that intensity and tempo, which we have had at home, I am sure it will be an interesting game."

As well as this semi-final, Telford are chasing a play-off spot in National League North.

The ambitions Sutton had when arriving at the club from Newtown a couple of years ago are on their way to being fulfilled, and wearing the armband for it all is giving him immense pride.

"It's crazy, really. When I came here I wanted the good times to come back – but you never know how long it's going to be," he added.

"This has been a good season, and we've just got to keep improving and see where it takes us.

"Hopefully, we can get the club back to Wembley and also focus on the league."
