Criticism for Wolves v Liverpool FA Cup ticket prices

Wolves have announced ticket prices for next month's FA Cup third round clash with Liverpool at Molineux.

They will cost as much as £35 in the Billy Wright stand – £20 more than for last year's third round game at home to Swansea.

Wolves said the tie was being classed at their 'category B' league prices in a bid to 'attract as many supporters to Molineux as possible'.

However many supporters criticised the cost of attending a game that's being broadcast live on BBC1 on a Monday night.

Adult tickets will cost £30 in the Steve Bull Upper, £27 behind the goals and in the Billy Wright lower, or £22 in the uncovered Graham Hughes stand. View a full list of prices here.

Wolves also host Liverpool in the Premier League next Friday night. The FA Cup clash will likely see both managers field weakened teams.

The announcement drew a mostly negative reaction from fans.
