The competition, consisting of sides from the north of the county, is held annually and has run since the 1908/09 season in memory of war hero Commander Alfred Peel Ethelston, who was from Whitchurch.

The North West Counties Premier hosts are favourites to lift the trophy again, while their Division One South visitors are aiming to upset the odds.

All proceeds from the 7.45pm kick-off, which is £5 per entry, go to local charities.
