Bridgnorth bid to topple leaders

But Bridgnorth head into the clash in fine form themselves having won their last six league matches.

“I think they are beatable,” said Griffiths of the leaders, who have won all 11 of their fixtures.

“It’s worked out well because we are in good form and our performance last week was one of our best of the season. We’re close to full fitness also, apart from a couple of late checks.

“They are a physical side but that’s not a part of our game that has been lacking this season.

“If we can dominate the set-pieces and play in the right areas then we can beat them.”

In Midlands One West, Ludlow host Old Halesonians and Whitchurch go to Hereford.

Shrewsbury coach Simon Evitts is urging his players to build on their morale-boosting win at fellow strugglers Crewe & Nantwich last weekend.

The Sundorne Castle side remain bottom of Midlands Two West (North) ahead of hosting third-placed Leek tomorrow. “It was a very important win for us,” said player-coach Evitts.

“It was the first time we had led in a match all season. We are not getting ahead of ourselves, but it gives us something to build on.”

Telford Hornets are at home to Handsworth in Midlands Three West (North) while Cleobury Mortimer go to Wednesbury.

Second-placed Clee Hill are at home to Yardley & District in Midlands Four West (North) while Market Drayton entertain Birmingham Exiles.

Bishops Castle are at Rugby Welsh in Midlands Five West (South).
